Bruce Jones
New
Jersey native Bruce Marjorie Jones graduated from Pratt Institute with
Bachelor and Master of Science degrees with graduate studies at the
Universities of Delaware and Maryland. For twelve years, she taught art
in public and private schools in New York City, Delaware, and Maryland.
A fourteen year college art teaching career followed at Prince George's
Community College, Anne Arundel Community College, and Bowie State
University.
For two
decades, she worked as an illustrator for the Department of Defense.
Two years prior to retirement, she served the American Embassy in
Ankara, Turkey. Throughout her distinguished government career, she
wrote several video productions, authored a variety of publications,
served as President of a chapter of Federally Employed Women, mentored
young women, and taught courses of study.
Today
Bruce paints and writes at her home in Vienna. She is the widow of
Clent Crocker and mother of Peter Bernhardt and Barbara McKnew.
